Production Equipment
Producing a good economical lightweight concrete starts with
- it is the foaming agent that influences most of the key benefits to the finished product (ie. insulation, sound and fire ratings)
- the foaming agent helps ensure production/ product consistency
- Lightweight concrete is not the same as normal weight concrete and without the proper equipment – production consistency and economics are difficult to achieve
- a. Without a production system in place (including a quality control system), producing lightweight concrete becomes difficult to control and problems difficult to solve
At K Block, we recognize the above issues and we
- Make our own line of lightweight concrete equipment designed specifically to produce strong, economical and consistent products
- Include after-sales support so that customers receive quick and timely assistance
- All sales include our “system” services to turn buying equipment into buying a complete system
- K Block produces and sells many different lightweight concrete products so that we can advise our customers based on our own practical experience
Equipment Range
In the table below, are listed the equipment range we sell
Location | Applications | Mortar Production | Lightweight Concrete | Production Volume |

Factory Based Units | Lightweight Block/ Panels/ Other | Compulsary Mixer | 1-30 m3 per hour |
On-Site Lightweight Concrete Production
Key Equipment
While only weighing about 20kg, the foam generator produces a foam made up of air bubbles. It is the foam generator, combined with our foaming agent, that gives the air bubbles their unique properties
- Since lightweight concrete does not have any coarse aggregate, a lightweight concrete mixer has to be able shear the cement particles in order for the mix to achieve its optimum strength and durability
- Mix the foam into the slurry quickly and uniformly (note: being made of air, the foam tends to sit on the top of the mix unless the mixer “works properly”)
- Produce a uniform lightweight concrete weight
Producing lightweight concrete on-site is made easy using our In-Line mixer product line. With production volumes up to 90m3 per hour, our In-Line mixer produce lightweight concrete quickly, efficiently and consistently.
Mortar in added to the intake hopper and ist is feed into the in-line mixer. Here the air bubbles are mixed into the mortar over a 1 m length. The resulting lightweight concrete made simply by turning on a switch.
Factory Base Production Systems
For Factory based lightweight concrete production, we can supply customers with complete plant equipment or, for both manual and semi-automatic plants – individual pieces of equipment.
High Volume: Fully Automatic Production Equipment
Since the automatic plants are fully integrated – we only supply this type of plant as a complete system.
- 3.7 m3 twin shaft, high speed compulsory mixer
- Fully integrated control system using PLC, HDMI multi-screen control panel, memory for 10 mix designs and emergency cut-off switch and load cell systems
- Moulding and De-moulding systems with control panels
- Transfer and ferry cart, and rail systems
- Unique Block Cutting system to quick and ensure complete cuts, rough block surface and minimal waste and maintenance
- Packing wrapping and curing systems – with optional low pressure steam curing tunnels
Manual and Semi-Automatic Plants
Since these plants are easier to integrate the key production equipment with other required equipment. So customers have a choice of purchasing the complete system form K Block or purchasing only the key lightweight concrete production equipment.
- 0.25 – 2.0 m3 twin shaft, high speed compulsory mixer
- Manual to load cell based hopper weigh systems
- Choice of basic to fully integrated control system using PLC, HDMI multi-screen control panel, memory for 10 mix designs and emergency cut-off switch and load cell systems
- Various mould styles and solid or cellular block options (central voids/ holes)
- Transfer and ferry cart, and rail systems
- For lightweight block: a unique block cutting system for quick and complete cuts, rough block surface, minimal waste and maintenance
- Optional manual to automatic packing, wrapping and curing systems available – with optional low pressure steam curing tunnels
- Manual to complete packing system
